By hiring a Broadway Babysitter, the user/family is agreeing to all terms set forth in this document.

HIRING SITTERS

To hire a sitter, search for the time and date you need, add an “extra” (lesson) if desired, and choose your sitter and then check appropriate boxes. There is a 3 consecutive hour booking minimum. On the next page, pay the commission to Broadway Babysitters. You will receive a confirmation email when you’re all set. When your booking has gone through, you will receive a booking confirmation email. If you do not receive a booking confirmation email, that means the booking process was not completed, and a sitter will not be coming. Please be sure to complete all the booking steps!

No bookings within 24 hours before can be made. If you need a last-minute sitter, please email us at [email protected], and we will try to find one for you. A $10 late booking fee will apply.

All of our sitters are artists pursuing their careers, and due to the nature of the ‘biz,’ they may get a last-minute audition or gig. Due to the referral-only/family aspect of our company, a unique and wonderful thing about us is that our sitters can find an equally amazing sub to cover them, so you will not ever be left without a sitter! Add your fave sitters to your “favorites” on the site, and they will contact them to sub first!

SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGES / RATES

PAYMENT OF SITTERS

The sitters are paid their hourly rate directly from the families in the form of payment agreed upon with the sitter. There is a 3-hour minimum when booking a sitter. If you come home early, please pay the sitter the amount for the times that you actually booked them for.

LATE NIGHT SURCHARGE

We want to keep our sitters safe, which means getting them safely to and from your home. Which is why we require that you pay an extra $15 travel surcharge after 11 pm.

OVERNIGHT FEES

If you need to book a sitter overnight, the fee will be the appropriate hourly fee when the child/children are awake, and $100 flat rate for sleeping over.

SITTERS’ TRAVEL

If the family lives far from the sitter, or if the sitting site is far, the family should pay for the sitter’s travel; i.e. if the family lives in Jersey and the sitter lives in Manhattan, NJ Transit or Path train tickets should be reimbursed; if sitters are taking the children places, the metro tickets or cab services should be covered.

LONG-TERM BROADWAY BABYSITTERS/NANNIES

We recommend the Orchestra package, as there is no commission, and you can have the sitter as much as you need. We will complete the booking(s) for you, please email us to find a long-term sitter.

FEES

The subscription fee is for access to the service and the perks that the specific packages get you. The commission to Broadway Babysitters is our “finder’s fee” for helping you find your sitter. Think of us as your agents. :)

HOLIDAYS

If you hire a sitter on the following holidays, note that the rate will be Time and a Half, paid directly to the sitter: 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

EXTRAS

The sitters are paid their rates for their extras directly from the families on top of their hourly sitter rate.

IF A FAMILY HIRES A SITTER DIRECTLY WHO WAS PREVIOUSLY BOOKED THROUGH BROADWAY BABYSITTERS

The sitters will book themselves out in their availability, and Broadway Babysitters has the right to invoice the customer for the commission owed for all packages except for the packages that allow this.

Multi-Family Bookings

Please note: all rates apply to a single-family booking. If two (or more families) are booking one sitter, the fee is $25/h for up to two children. Commission pricing per hour is paid by each family (total commission is double the hourly price). For more children please email us at [email protected]

CHANGES IN RATES

Rates are subject to change, we will notify the customers if this happens.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

For the agency, if the appointment is canceled after 24 hours before, the customer will be charged 50% of the sitter fee, no refunds on commission. For the Audition Drop-off, if the appointment is canceled after 8 am the day of, we will have to charge you $35 as we booked the room and have to pay the sitters. We will invoice you.

TAXES

Since our sitters are not our employees but are instead paid directly by you, it is up to your discretion if you want to 1099 them or not. If you paid any of your sitters over $700 within a tax year and would like to file a 1099-MISC, we suggest you email them to mutually agree and exchange details.
