If you cancel more than 7 days before the appointment, you will receive a 100% refund
If you cancel between 3 and 7 before the appointment, you will receive an 80% refund
If you cancel the booking 24 and 72 hours before the appointment, you will receive an 80% credit to your account.
If you cancel less than 24 hours (but more than 4 hours) before an appointment, you will receive a 30% credit to your account.
If you must cancel an appointment less than 4 hours before the appointment, you are more than welcome to do so, however refunds or credits cannot be applied.
A booking is not considered cancelled until it has been cancelled on our site, so if you let the sitter know directly, you are welcome to do so, but the policy will be applied to whenever the booking is officially cancelled in our system. We will always be sure to notify the sitter on your behalf (even when it is short notice).
NOTE: In all cases above, processing fees are non-refundable
Policy for Shortened Bookings (Partial Cancellations)
Cancellation policy will be applied accordingly to shortened bookings only for the hours you had to cancel. For example, if you must shorten a booking that is originally from 8:30am-6pm to 8:30am-2pm, then the hours of 2pm-6pm will be treated as “cancelled” and the same cancellation policy applies to those hours. This also applies to bookings where you return earlier than the scheduled end time of the booking. If the booking ends early, since those hours are considered “cancelled” under 4 hours before the booking, there is no credit or refund applied to the unused hours.
Changing Date of Booking
Each booking is designated to the date is originally booked for. If you no longer need care on a date and would like to instead have care on another date, you will need to cancel the booking on your dashboard and rebook the booking. This applies even if you are rebooking with the same sitter to ensure that the sitter is compensated appropriately for the time booked out for the original date.
