At Broadway Babysitters, our admin team and sitters work with you to provide behind-the-scenes support and creative care, so that as members of our family you feel safe and taken care of. We are making these adjustments because we value being a dependable, collaborative partner for your childcare needs and want to improve on the quality care and personalized, hands-on service you expect and deserve. 

Identity Verification for Families and Sitters 

Some of you may have already noticed and completed this step, but we have released a new feature to improve safety and wellbeing of all families and sitters. Families will now need to have completed a one-time identity verification in order to book. More info can be found here. 

In addition to the already extensive vetting process, sitters have also completed this Identity Verification to add an extra layer of safety to you, our families. 

Processing Fee Adjustment 

Since the beginning of the company in 2015, we have made it a core part of our values to cover as much of the cost of babysitting and our services as possible. For the past 8 years this has included covering the cost of transaction fees for payments made on our site. As we move into the New Year, beginning on February 1, 2024, transaction fees will be added to the cost of bookings. 

Although January is historically our annual adjustment to membership rates, this year, in order to provide as much support as possible to our families and to create consistency given the changes, we will NOT be increasing membership rates as of January 1, 2024.
